After 60 years at Watson Avenue, we are moving to 8115 SW Nimbus Avenue!

Who would think of Moving NOW? 

Thank you for all the support and loyalty for Beaverton Florists!  For just the second time since 1943 we are relocating to a new facility at 8115 SW Nimbus Ave. We are still in Beaverton and will be just down the road from our current location. 

Change can be hard to adjust to but alas we all must come to the place where we do the best thing for each to enable us to thrive in a ever changing economy.  We are changing our store location but we are NOT changing our commitment to high quality and excellent customer service. 

Flowers can easily brighten up anyone’s day, we still love creating fresh designs, and delivering them across the Portland metro area daily.

As we struggle to find the right words to further express our gratitude and share some positivity with a simple yet heartfelt Thank You, remember we still can help you get that special bouquet made and delivered.  

Beaverton Florists was started on Lombard Ave in 1943 during the dark days of WWII. Ralph and Vivian Bech saw a need for the healing and comforting language that flowers uniquely can deliver. As Beaverton Florists grew and proved to be an exceptional company of high standards and customer service it expanded and moved in 1963 to the building on SW Watson Ave that became home for 60 years. In 1965 Paul and Delores Jakobson Purchased Beaverton Florists so Ralph and Vi could retire, and ran the company well until selling to Pauls’ sister and husband Florence and Richard Hill in 1980. Richard and Florence worked hard and built Beaverton Florists into one of the top 100 florists in North America and then were succeeded by their son Keith and wife Sheri in 1997. Keith retired from his dental practice in 2001 and they have run Beaverton Florists since. As the economic landscape changes so too must all local retail and so a move to a location that allowed a more streamlined operation in a smaller footprint means keeping 15 people working and still delivering smiles across the Metro area. 

As we look forward to our new facility in the Parkside Business Park with enthusiasm and a great staff of creative designers, helpful friendly sales associates, and experienced drivers we will continue our mission of high levels of creativity, service, and commitment to amaze.
